#38 bringing the flag home

Leads fly,
across and over,
I can only lay down,
with back on barrel,
enhanced senses,
ricochet everywhere,

hoping for blessing,
given the zephyr,
bringing peace,
suddenly lucky,
one-way ticket,
get home safely,

leapfrogging,
surviving
suppressing fire,
maneuver,
ambush,
"Shh!"

I have been thinking,
and I am willing,
risk worth to be taken,
it is all up to what has been written,
to hometown,
it is time to run,

and take a mad dash.
