#70 you fell asleep

You and I,
in an attic that we made ourselves a bedroom,
we made it with money we saved,
from part-times in cafe and shop down the block.
We put dim fairy lights around our bed,
it was comfortably cold and we were sitting at the edge side of the low bed,
burrito-ed ourselves with warm blankets.

It was just the rain, you with half-shut eyes,
and me slowly plucking my guitar,
you said you gonna stay up for as long as the sun's sleeping,
so I lighten up the mood and play your favorite song,
our first song.

Once in a while, some cars would pass by,
and their headlights would illuminate your face,
you would be nodding because you were drowsy.
Funny enough,
you would still stubbornly insist that you wanted to stay up,
because you missed me so much, though the nighttime was almost ours,
and ours alone,
you didn't want to waste it to keep that handsome young figure of yours away from your dearly gaze.

I found it cute the way that you fighting for minutes and hours on looking at me,
and to kill them you would touch my face, my eyes, nose, and lips,
my eyebrows which you said that they were sexy,
and I agreed profoundly!
The lingering petrichor together with both of our scents added the attributes of romantic atmosphere.

I knew sometimes you feared I might run away,
but the benefit of the doubt was I had someone that would hug me so tight when I was at downtime.

To reply your kindness and love,
I took you closer, you came as you were,
sleepy,
I stood up while holding your hand, you followed,
eventually we danced.
Never mind about the song I played because the music player continued on.
We swayed our hips and arms and sometimes you did spin,
then you laughed.

We were like a princess and her royal guard secretly dancing in a ballroom when everyone was asleep.

When we had enough of swing and we became tired,
We laid down ourselves as I cradled you into your sleep.
You took me closer, and closer,
close enough so you can lay your head on my chest,
that hobby of yours, listening to my heartbeat.
And then the nighttime was ours,
from our bed we saw our stars,

say, could you see them?
Oh, you fell asleep.
